Amy Biehl High School is Albuquerque’s premier charter school for students in grades 9 through 12 who are ready to think critically, solve problems creatively, and improve their communities. Through rigorous academics, an Early College High School program, and hands-on service learning, students are prepared to succeed in a rapidly transforming future, whatever it holds, while cherishing a shared duty to build a brighter, more equitable tomorrow.

Highlights
The difference our students make in the world is what makes our school so different.
As a designated Early College High School, our students must complete a minimum of two academic or Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses that offer dual credit toward both high school graduation and a postsecondary degree or certificate. Over half of our students graduate with credit in at least four college courses.
All students are required to participate in a minimum of 100 hours of service learning in an area they’re passionate about. Project-based, civic-minded curricula prepare students to be problem solvers and community advocates to build a more sustainable future.

I did a project with Other Paths…We fundraised for the whole year to buy clean packages of water, vaccinations, and materials to build a health clinic in the village of Kiima Kimwe, in Kenya. To do a senior project like that, at the age of 17 or 18 years old, and to go to another country, it seemed like I went to another world. That trip changed my life forever.
Amy Biehl created a safe environment for me, it was so nice to have teachers not only as academic advisors, but also as life advisors.
Just being in a college environment regardless of what I was studying had the biggest impact on me in terms of preparing me for university.
